A Doniphan man was killed early yesterday.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said 26-year-old Jeffrey Harp died at the scene of the crash. They said he was hit by a car that 29-year-old Billy Barnett was driving. MSHP said Barnett was northbound on Business 67 at Linwood Drive around 12:30 Sunday morning when he hit the pedestrian, who police said was in the roadway. The Butler County coroner pronounced Harp dead at the scene. Police are trying to figure out why Harp was in the roadway, and have not said whether Barnett will face any charges.
