Prosecutors have charged a Hayti man with murder. 31-year old Christopher Smith faces a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of 42-year-old Anita Sims of Homestown. Investigators say Smith stabbed Sims four times after she got into his car Thursday night. Smith allegedly pushed Sims out of the car, but Sims staggered to a friend's apartment in the Cleveland Apartment Complex. The friend drove Sims to the hospital, where Sims died a short time later. Police arrested Smith Sunday. They have not located the knife.
